What Deepsea Connect provides
Deepsea Connect offers career information, job listings, and connectivity tools for maritime professionals and employers. We aim to make hiring and applications clearer and faster. Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, Deepsea Connect is not your employer and listing a role does not mean we endorse every detail supplied by a third party.
Independent third parties
Ship operators, manning agents, training providers, and other maritime companies may advertise roles or partner with us. They operate on their own behalf. Deepsea Connect does not restrict their lawful business, does not claim exclusive dealing with candidates or employers, and is not responsible for their hiring decisions, wages, or onboard conditions. Your contract (if any) is with the relevant employer or counterparty—not automatically with Deepsea Connect.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information in enquiries and applications.
- Keep login details confidential if we give you an account.
- Do not misuse the site (no malware, scraping that harms service, harassment, or unlawful discrimination).
- Respect intellectual property and confidentiality of materials you receive through Deepsea Connect.
Intellectual property
Content branded or owned by Deepsea Connect (layout, text we author, logos where applicable) remains ours or our licensors’. You may browse and share links for personal or internal business use; you may not copy large parts of the site for competing commercial products without permission.
Disclaimers
Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep information accurate but vacancies, salaries described as indicative, dates, and requirements may change without notice. Deepsea Connect does not guarantee placement, interview invitations, or visa or flag-state outcomes.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deepsea Connect is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost income) arising from use of the site or reliance on listings. Our total liability for claims under these terms is limited to fees you paid Deepsea Connect in the twelve months before the claim, or SGD 100 if you only used free features—except where mandatory law forbids such a cap (for example certain fraud or personal injury claims).
Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Deepsea Connect from claims brought by third parties that arise from your misuse of the services, breach of these terms, or infringement of others’ rights—except to the extent caused by our deliberate misconduct.
Suspension and changes
We may suspend or modify features for maintenance, security, or business reasons. We may update these terms; the new “Effective” date will show at the top. Where required, we will give reasonable notice. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
